RC Cars

An RC-Car race in Little Rock, Arkansas

Really fast; Faster than I had anticipated

watering the track

The gas powered two stroke machines were really cool.

Justin's had a battery. Justin's car sucked.

People don't really come here to race. It's all about walking around and looking at other rc cars - talking to other rc car people.

A photo that captures our first experience at real rc car track. Yes my son. We have graduated from ramping curbs and chasing cats.

Kids tended to win most of the races. Kids tended to know more rc car-mechanic-jargon and taunt everyone else. Video games are the only logical explanation.

In order to avoid remote control frequency conflicts, everyone had to sign up for a specific frequency and purchase a transponder.

Why hasn't this been a scene from King of the Hill?

It takes a special breed of man.

Justin's battery powered car performed surpisingly well - passing several cars on the straight-of-ways, and wrecking into the barracades at a faster rate of speed than any of the other cars. We'll go back sometime when the car has received sufficient repairs. ..Every Sunday of the week, 8 months out of the year, these people are here racing litle fake cars. It is so very much cool.
