Living in Arkansas, sand dunes are the last place you would ever envision riding your dirtbike. Paddle tires? …where would you possibly use those? But last year in November we found such place in Oklahoma. Touting 1,400 acres of sand dunes,
Little Sahara State Park is quite a unique place. You won't find naturally occurring sand dunes like these for at least 500 miles around, not to mention the fact that they're open to all motorized vehicles. White Sands National Monument in Colorado is the closest location that comes to mind, and even they, don't allow such 'use'.
Anyway, last November it was cold and raining and windy over the entire three days we were at Little Sahara, and major fun was still had. So this time, in mid October, the weather would be perfect. And we'd have all the experiences of last time to ready us for a second outing; what to expect; how to prepare; what to bring, etc…
And on this occasion the weather was indeed nice. Perfect in fact. And this time I'd planned on taking some photographs of this unique place, and this time I did. Rather proud I am, with a select few of those photos. And you are here. And if you've actually read this far, you might like them. As do I.
